In our most exclusive masterclasses, we offer you the opportunity to learn directly from the source. You can participate in an intimate wine tasting, led by the winemaker themselves, where the focus is solely on one wine estate. Listen to the story behind each bottle as the winemaker personally unveils their creations. This experience immerses you in the soul of the wine, straight from the cellar where it all begins.

Additionally, we also organize several interactive wine evenings presented by Margaux and/or Sebastian from Elvama. During these special masterclasses, we focus on fascinating topics within the South African wine industry. From the art of wine and food pairings to in-depth explorations of emerging wine regions, these evenings provide a unique opportunity to gain and share knowledge with like-minded wine enthusiasts.

Thistle & Weed masterclass met wijnmaakster Stephanie Wiid NIEUW

Thistle and Weed is een samenwerking tussen de families Terblanche en Wiid, opgericht in 2015 en geleid door Etienne Terblanche (Viticulturist) en Stephanie Wiid (Wijnmaker). Geïnspireerd door de oprukkende onkruiden die tussen de wijnstokken in de Kaap groeien, trekken Etienne en Steph parallellen tussen distels en onkruiden en de compromisloze vastberadenheid en overlevingsvaardigheden van druivenstokken.

Samen gaan ze op zoek naar de beste verborgen pareltjes van de Kaap, met als doel eerlijke wijnen te maken die een diepe verbinding met de natuur hebben en de meest pure expressie van het terroir bieden waaruit ze voortkomen.

Wijnmaakster Stephanie Wiid vertelt ons de unieke verhalen achter hun wijnen waaronder een aantal top Chenin Blancs en een prachtige Cabernet Franc. Een unieke avond!

Le Riche staat bekend als 'Cabernet Meesters' en terecht. Ze selecteren druiven van de beste Stellenbosch terroirs om topkwaliteit Cabernets te produceren met uitstekende rijpingspotentieel.
Je krijgt op deze avond als eerste de kans om de exclusieve Le Riche Cabernet Sauvignon Reserve 2021 in pre-release te proeven. Deze wijn werd onlangs nog door MW Greg Sherwood omschreven als: "Simply sublime, awesome even, and most definitely a vintage that will come to define premium quality Cabernet for years to come. A true classic that will richly reward bottle ageing. 98+/100
Wijnmaker Christo Le Riche zorgt voor de begeleiding van een unieke wijnavond en chef Kris van Ma Passion zorgt voor een heerlijk bijpassend menu. Deze avond wordt georganiseerd door onze partner De Vinotheek.
